After stopping to filter water at a slow flowing water source (creek) and ascending a little further up the trail to Blue Mountain Shelter, we noticed a few additional tents.

From conversation among fellow hikers, it appears that the trail is becoming more and more crowded by the day.

After setting up our tent for the evening and conversing about tomorrow’s trek (in the pouring rain), we decided to “hunker down” for the night and prepare ourselves for a unique morning of breaking camp in the rain.

My suggestion has always been to keep a clean and organized tent and tent site… know where everything is… be confident in disassembling the tent in inclement weather… and do it as fast as humanly possible.

But how organized can one be?

The above photo is of the vestibule outside my tent door! BAM! Camp Shoes on the left… Pack (cradled in my Pack Cover) on the right… daily Hiking Shoes in the middle (with one holding my water bottle cradled in a wool sock… and the other an empty Gatorade Bottle).

I want to give a shout-out to Norma (Trail Name: Ju-Ju)… there is the infamous Gatorade Bottle I told you and Al (Shiner) about! LOL!

Can anyone guess what that Gatorade Bottle is for?????
