We have all heard the expression: “X” Marks The Spot! I couldn’t help but to snap this particular shot of Slipper walking under two fallen trees that form the letter “X.”
Needless to say, there are many different candid shots we have taken that do not make it to a Blog Post, but that are special photos just the same.
For example… Mr. Toad (or is it Mrs. or Ms. Toad… you decide)! We caught a glimpse of this little guy on our way “up” and mountain! I asked Slipper if she wanted Frog Legs for dinner, but she said that I was being mean. LOL! I don’t think there is enough meat on those bones for even an appetizer!
And then there was a photo taken of us atop Clingman’s Dome (the highest spot on The Appalachian Trail) by a Day Hiker who was kind enough to take the photo.
I took the next photo of Slipper “cameling up” on some extra water that was in our Sawyer Filter Pouch. She asked if she should just pour it out and I mentioned, “Why waste it? Go ahead and drink it right from the filter!” The next thing I know, “Gulp… Gulp… Gulp… there she goes!”
Finally (at least for now), I had to capture a photo of Slipper falling asleep in her Sleeping Bag! She is such a cutie as she prepares the tent each night at camp. This is something we both look forward to after a long day of hiking.
