Waiting on the storm to pass over Mount Washington was a great decision to make and we are stoked to continue our journey through the Northern Presidentials! VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT! Will it be Washington… Jefferson… Adams… or Madison (to the north)… or Franklin… Eisenhower… Pierce… Jackson… or Webster (to the south)?
After our summit of Washington (on a rare… beautiful… sunny day), we head out to visit and VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT!
The terrain is unlike anything we have experienced thus far and is quite the mental (and physical) challenge! Rocks… rocks… and more rocks (with extreme elevations) make this trek about a 1 mph hike!
As we begin to make our way toward Jefferson, we are met by a passing cloud and appreciate the cooler temperature associated with it!
The views are epic and breathtaking! This is what I have been longing to see and experience ever since leaving Georgia… and NOW it’s time to VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT!
While my eyes are filled with wonder, Slipper is faithing forward through her fear of heights (with her eyes filled with tears).
I am so extremely proud of Slipper pushing through her fear and for her bravery in ascending and descending the steep and rugged terrain of The Whites!
As we summit Madison, I have to pause and give thanks for such beauty and for the mental and physical strength to accomplish today’s hike. My favorite Northern Presidential is Madison! VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT and let us know why you enjoy your mountain of choice.
