Slipper and I are on our way down from the mountain to put her Jeep Rubicon in the shop for an oil change and tire rotation, when all of a sudden we ride up on 3 Horses walking along the road and grazing on some grass.

While Slipper is very familiar and acquainted with Horses, I am not! All I can think is let’s do our best to help these horses to safety, and then I remember MAMA DON’T LET YOUR BABIES GROW UP TO BE COWBOYS, but “this” “is” a time that I wish I had a little Cowboy in me.

Slipper exits her Jeep and immediately begins talking to these Beasts Of Burden like they are her long lost friend.

I’m thinking: “Don’t look them on the eyes” and MAMA DON’T LET YOUR BABIES GROW UP TO BE COWBOYS!

Slipper stops a vehicle driving by and encourages the driver to make an emergency call when he reaches the top of the mountain (being that we are out of cell range).

In no time at all the Calvary arrives (thanks to one of our Sherrifs rallying the troops) and these horses are headed back to pasture.

As I watch our smiling Sherrif walking one of the horses back to it’s rightful owner, I think “This guy could be like a Mounted Sherrif! A real Cowboy!” Not me! Why? Because Mama didn’t let me grow up to be a Cowboy.
