BEAR WITH ME

OMG! We have major Bear Activity at our Mountain Homestead.

While Black Bear are beautiful to look at and photograph (when given the opportunity), they are curious animals (especially when they are searching for food) and can have the tendency of creating destruction when their curiosity gets the best of them.

It wasn’t too very long after converting our Screen Porch into a 3 Season Porch that we were saying “BEAR WITH ME!”

We immediately call our Porch Company to the rescue to refresh the panels destroyed by the Bear and ask our Social Media Family & Friends the best way to deter the Bear.

After various suggestions, we purchase an inexpensive radio… crank up the volume… and play Talk Radio while we are away from the Porch.

Add Cayenne Pepper around the base of the Porch and we are now saying, “So Far So Good”.

While we still see Bear, they are staying away from the Porch… for now. Yay!

BEAR WITH ME… but leave us the heck alone!
