Years ago (when The Yellow Pages was a most popular “book” of information to have around the house) there was a promotional ad that said, “Let Your Fingers Do The Walking Through The Yellow Pages.”

Regarding the Blog Pages to our website… “LET YOUR EYES DO THE WALKING,”

As we attempt this journey of a lifetime thru-hike of The Appalachian Trail, we have the opportunity to truly “experience” things that you (our readers) may never see (and that “we” may never see again). So, please LET YOUR EYES DO THE WALKING” and vicariously live a thru-hike with us through these Blogs. As a matter of fact, if you like the photos that Slipper is posting on Instagram and Facebook… then invite others to join in on this epic journey to by telling them to LET YOUR EYES DO THE WALKING through the Blog Pages of our website.

It is our intention to “Stop And Smell The Roses” (so to speak…  and wild azaleas… and iris… and other flowers that we see) and to share our experiences with you via these Blogs.

Should we look up and see the moon lingering in the sky (just beyond the trees), we want to stop and enjoy its beauty.

We want to lazily stroll across the boggs of a sinking creek… stop and look down into the water for swimming trout or mating snakes (that’s right… mating snakes… something you might only see in National Geographics)…

You thought that I was kidding? Listen… I HATE SNAKES… but when I saw this actually happening before my eyes, I had to snap the photo. Don’t be hatin’!

Look… we even want to stop along our hike to make friends with a donkey (that wants to walk over to the fence… stop itself… and take a closer look at a couple of crazy hikers).

And although the “White Blaze” is our guide to staying on the trail… we want to pause to take in that one blaze that has a face looking back at us.

There are so… so… so many things to see and experience along our hike (neighboring towns to walk into and enjoy… people we meet along the way… good food to eat while in town… memories to create… encounters with wildlife… and other “stuff” that you just can’t make up)!

LET YOUR EYES DO THE WALKING and join us throughout our hike via this website… Instagram… and Facebook.

We hope that we can leave a mark behind in your heart and mind of where we have been… what we have experienced… who we have met… and how we managed to complete and finish this feat (via our Blogs and Photos), so LET YOUR EYES DO THE WALKING!
