LEN FOOTE HIKE INN

Nestled in the North Georgia Mountains and only 5 easy-to-moderate hiking miles from The Amicalola State Park is a fully sustainable Lodge that you-owe-to-yourself to visit for an overnight stay (if only for 1 night) – The Len Foote Hike Inn.

It truly matters not what time of year you visit! As the lyrics to a song says, “I don’t care how you get here… just get here when you can.” This is an overnight hiking trip that is well worth your investment of time (not to mention that you only need to take a daypack with a pair of sleeping clothes and a few personal essentials).

From young to older… you will fall in love with Len Foote Hike Inn!

Maybe its a solo hike!

Maybe its a Father & Son hike!

Maybe its a Mother & Daughter hike!

Maybe its a couple’s hike!

Maybe its a family hike!

Maybe its just a friend hike!

Regardless of the occassion… Len Foote Hike Inn should be on your “Bucket List!”

It all begins with a simple phone call or Reservation e-mail to Len Foote Hike Inn (Look it up on the World Wide Web) 800-581-8032

Check In Registration is at The Amicalola State Park Lodge and then you are off to a 5 mile easy-to-moderate hike. TAKE A CAMERA!

You may very well have the distinct opportunity to view some wild life! The couple (Sam & Meg in a photo above) caught up to Tripper and Son (Chad) on our exit hike (as we hiked the Springer Mountain Approach Trail in reverse). On a lengthy decent and short ascent of the trail, we had the opportunity to view a large Black Bear in the wild! The Ravens were frantically crowing (as if to give us the whereabouts of this bear) and sure enough there it was (approximately 50 yards away from us). What a way to end a hike! Sam & Meg… as you read this blog… you know that this will be an occassion that you will forever remember!

Everything about Len Foote Hike Inn is memorable! From the footpath approach, the friendly and positive attitude of the staff, the fine “plush” accomodations (at least for a tent camper), the first class preparation of an excellent dinner and breakfast meal (not to mention the “take out”… oops… “hike out” lunch), the fortunate and pleasurable hot showers, to the fasinating and private experience of the “Super Clean” indoor privy. You’re gonna love it here!

I hope that after viewing the photos of my Father & Son Annual Outing (This year of 2014 to The Len Foote Hike Inn) that you are already on the phone and/or internet to book your next hiking adventure here. Tell them that you discovered it on www.tripperandslipper.com 🙂
