People will often ask us as we engage in conversations about thru-hiking, “What do eat while out on the trail?” Great question, right? I believe that a Hiker’s Menu is about as diverse and different as the Hiking Shoes a Hiker elects to wear.
For Slipper and I, we have a cold breakfast with a hot cup of coffee… a cold lunch and cold snacks with cold water… and a hot dinner with cold tea.
We use a Pocket Rocket Stove powered by a Propane Canister to heat the water for our morning Hot Starbucks Coffee and our evening Hot Dehydrated Dinner.
