I think that we have all spoken the phrase, “One thing leads to another!”… right? So what do you get when you are hiking a trail… you have a month of rain… the trail is dirt… a lot of people are walking across this dirt in the pouring down rain! You get MUD BOGGIN’ AND TRAIL HIKIN’ (A NOT-SO-CLEAN-SPORT).

Come on… how bad can it be?

How about… so bad that the Trail Maintainers have built Mud Bogg Boards along lower lying areas to enable Hikers to Hike-Their-Own-Hike!

Think about it… would you want to walk through “this” in your expensive hiking shoes? Nah… didn’t think so!

And just in case you are wondering… or just in case you want to take a former Blog (TROUT FISHING) literally and throw a line from your fly rod into these creeks  (above photo)… know that THESE ARE NOT CREEKS… this is still the Appalachian Trail with water run-off from the recent monsoons of rain.

Now it’s beginning take sense… right? MUD BOGGIN’ AND TRAIL HIKIN’ (A NOT-SO-CLEAN-SPORT).

You could call me “a dirty ol’ man” and you would be right (literally speaking), because MUD BOGGIN’ AND TRAIL HIKIN’ ARE (A NOT-SO-CLEAN-SPORT).
