I can remember first seeing the movie: “Rocky!” There are several songs from the very first “Rocky Movie” that still thrill me to hear them. I loved the movie so much when it first came out that I think I saw it 7 times! Maybe I was hoping that each time I saw it Rocky would win the fight! “Yo, Adrienne!”
On this particular section, it was as if our feet were GETTING BEAT UP BY ROCKY BALBOA! Remember the famous scene in the movie when Rocky is in a meat locker and he begins pounding a slab of meat? That is what our feet felt like as we walked across this trail of rock!
BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! I am still nursing my feet (and knees) from this particular stretch of high elevated trail.
Like always… the more difficult the climbing venture… the more delightful are the celebratory views!
I guess you could say that some days it’s like GETTING BEAT UP BY ROCKY BALBOA… but at least we have some incredible memories of the experience to share. After all… who all can say that they have experienced a boxing match with the legendary Rocky Balboa? My feet can attest to it!
Sometimes you just have to “throw down the poles” (like a fighter throws down the gloves) and go at it with hand-to-hand-combat (or in this case it is “hand-to-rock” and “feet-to-rock” combat). And sometimes the rocks win! Like GETTING BEAT UP BY ROCKY BALBOA!
