We hear about this “hidden gem” called North Mills River Campground, and so off we go DOWN BY THE LAZY RIVER.
We discover a hidden and private campsite within this hidden gem of a Campground and enjoy watching a fly-fisherman as we hike along the river.
The hike is an easy hike and there are several “water crossings” along the trail.
Slipper and I both comment about how nice it would be if we had more water crossings while thru-hiking The Appalachian Trail.
Should you ever find yourself on The Blue Ridge Parkway (close to Asheville, North Carolina), be sure to travel DOWN BY THE LAZY RIVER and visit North Mills River Campground.
Tent Camping… RV Camping… Trout Fishing… Hiking… you’ll love this little hidden gem.
