Wow! We discovered this HARBOUR IN THE MOUNTAINS and called ahead to reserve The Jefferson Suite on our way down from one of the Balds beyond Roan Mountain.
This is the place to stay when you come into Roan, Tennessee! Don’t even second guess it!
Here is the most awesome news… whether you are wanting to stay at a nice Hiker Hostel OR a nice Bed & Breakfast, you have choices here!
We had some hiking friends of ours (Johnny Rocket Walker… Ghost… Quick… and others) stay in the Hostel Area of Mountain Harbour Hostel and other friends (Roman Noodles and Highlander Dave) to stay with us in the Bed & Breakfast Area.
One thing you do not get to choose is whether to have a good breakfast or not… here you are promised THE BEST BREAKFAST around… for miles!
We are extremely proud of Shannon (the daughter-in-law of Terry & Mary who own the place) as she soloed cooking this morning’s breakfast!
Terry has been battling some physical challenges and complications for some time and actually transitioned away from this earthly life last night Wednesday March 30, 2016.
Shannon remained here during his hospital stay to keep the family business running during this time of passing.
She is a hero!
So… staying here is a “no brainer!”
