Slipper and I wake up… have a cup (okay… 2 cups) of coffee on the rear deck of our Farmhouse… and decide to drive up to the DAHLONEGA, GA. TRAIL FEST.
Living less than an hour from the DAHLONEGA, GA. TRAIL FEST… we arrive early enough the beat the crowds of people 😊
What can I say? It’s not that we don’t want to be around people… but six months and four days on the Appalachian Trail with your best friend… spouse… wife… partner… significant other… and help mate, will create self-satisfaction for a party of two!
We run into Gary Sizer (Author of “Where’s The Next Shelter and Trail Name: “Green Giant”) at the DAHLONEGA, GA. TRAIL FEST and chat about out thru hikes of the Appalachian Trail.
If there is anything that will bring a smile to a Hiker’s face, it is reminiscing the moments from a trail.
If you ever have the opportunity to visit a Trail Fest near you, do it! You never know whom you’ll run in to.
