My brothers and I know her as “Momma” and her grandchildren know her as “Maw Maw.”

My MOMMA AND MAW MAW relocated her life to heaven on September 6, 2019 (just after 9:00 am) as her 3 sons arrived at the place she called home and as her BFF (Joyce) was holding her hand and having conversation with her. MOMMA AND MAW MAW peacefully took her last breath on earth (while asleep) and woke up in the presence of the Lord.

My life is excitedly enriched because of the love of MOMMA AND MAW MAW.

MOMMA AND MAW MAW (along with Joyce) would climb up in “Dumore” (my White Ford F250) and travel up to the mountain for the day.

Once at the mountain, we would climb up into the Golf Cart and take a short sight-seeing trip to view the changing of the mountainous scenes.

MOMMA AND MAW MAW always enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She cerished her sons and she had compassion for her friends.

Often times we would just sit on the front porch of our home and talk about everything and everybody.

MOMMA AND MAW MAW has been the “Rock” of our family for several years now (with A Mother’s Love that is anchored to her faith). After my father passed away, MOMMA AND MAW MAW took on the role as Single Parent to her adult children. She “Rocked” it (just a little pun intended).

Some of the best times with MOMMA AND MAW MAW were just the simple times of gathering around the table for a meal.

Speaking of “meals”… MOMMA AND MAW MAW knew how to fry some okra (along with other amazing dishes like: Meat Loaf, Vegetable Soup, Dumplings, Macaroni and Cheese… just about anything and everything you could think of).

MOMMA AND MAW MAW was always there (when able).

From weddings, to sporting games, to concerts, to plays, to social events, and now to heaven… We will miss MOMMA AND MAW MAW, yet look forward to seeing her again with other loved ones who have gone on before.
